上里ＳＡ
上里町は、埼玉県の最北端に位置し、北西部の神流川・烏川をはさみ群馬県と接している。歴史は古く縄文時代前期には人々が住み着きはじめた。中世には、武蔵七党の一つである丹党の勅使河原、長浜、安保各氏の本拠地でありました。１５８２年神流川・烏川の合流点付近は、北条氏邦・氏直と滝川一益の激戦地をなった。
Kamisato SA Kamisato Town, Kodama County, Saitama Prefecture. Located in the far north of Saitama Prefecture, Kamisato Town faces Gunma Prefecture and is flanked by the Kanna and Karasu rivers. The town is noted for its sncient history that stretches back to the early jomon period (about 8000 B.C. to 200 B.C.) when people started to settle in the area. In the Middle Ages it was known as the domain of the Tsshigawara, Nagashima and abo clans, imperial messengers of the Tanto clan, one of the Musashi Shichito clans. The confluence of the Kanna and Karasu rivers was also the scene of a fierce battle between kazumasu Takigawa and Ujikuni and Ujinao Hojo in 1582.
